Oh, it’s a very sad moment for all the die-hard Toni-Braxton fans out there: the foxy star has decided to turn her back on a twenty-year music career!
The out-of-the-blue announcement was made last Friday. Known for her string of hits, including Breathe Again and Unbreak My Heart, the 44 year old explained in an interview with Good Morning America: “it’s not affecting me, making me feel that thing I always feel when I perform.”
The eight-time Grammy award winner went on to say: “I’m not sure what’s going on with my life. A female mid-life crisis? My heart isn’t in it anymore.”
You read it for yourself: Braxton – who produced her seventh and FINAL album, PLUSE (2010) – has turned her back on music. But if you think this is the last of Braxton, think again! The recent reality TV star is making serious plans to break the film industry. She has some acting experience on the resume, as Braxton recently made her acting debut in the romantic movie, Twist of Faith. This time Braxton wants to shake off her squeaky-clean image, as she is looking for more raunchy and rebellious roles.
She revealed: “I like to play a lesbian. I don’t know why. And do a whole make- out scene and the whole thing; just something completely different than people would expect from me.”
If there are any directors reading this, Braxton has a special message for you: “I don’t want to be no lipstick lesbian, either.”
Expect a whole lot of girl-on-girl action from Braxton!
